Our Program
Spiritual Recovery is laid out as an 8 week, once per week program designed for 10-30 participants in a recovery community, treatment or corrections environment . Each weekly class focuses on key principles, tips, tools and techniques that when applied,
can open an individual to experiencing the awakening of spirituality and
personal expansion that can lead them to true Emotional Sobriety and a more
enriched Recovery Life. Through this 8 week program, we address these 13 dimensions of Spiritual Wellness that
lend themselves to the enrichment process:
To address these dimensions of spiritual wellness with our participants, we explore and learn to utilize these concepts, tools and techniques:
v Presenting a weekly a spiritual wellness assessment that identifies key areas of emotional health and spiritual wellbeing, thus imprinting these ideas on the minds of the participants. Repetition creates learning.
v Identifying participants’ current mindsets and broadening their ideas and perspectives of God/Spirit/HP through a contrast and compare exercise and a follow-up discussion.
v Awakening participants’ awareness of the Spiritual Self through an experiential exercise designed specifically to guide participants’ to this broader understanding of Self.
v Identifying the perspective of the ego self, contrasting it through discussion of the perspective of the Higher Self (Spiritual Self) and learning how to begin to reorganize sponsoring thought patterns to reflect this new, broader way of thinking.
v Exploring the concept of one’s personal, creative force and how it relates to our life experiences, then setting specific goals and working towards them in a manner that is conducive to spiritual and emotional growth and the raising of participants’ self-esteem.
v Transmuting negative emotions through a highly effective, yet simple and user-friendly releasing process.
v Learning the function of meditation and experiencing a guided meditation technique.
v Building a true connection to Spirit by engaging participants in an experiential journaling exercise called, “Dialoguing’.
The core of this program is also offered to persons outside of the recoveryrecovering persons and their families outside of the realm of treatment and corrections as The "Essence of Spirituality" Workshop. The workshop is given in a one-day, six hour format. Please contact Rev. Nightingale-Warren for more information.
